Nice Sports Programs

These extra courses are offered to participants who wish to combine their language study with sports, and engage in a unique experience in Nice and of the French Riviera.

Sailing
Duration: 2 weeks
Sessions: Total of 10, three hour sessions.
Time: 2:00 pm onwards from Monday to Friday (June to July)
Course Fee: USD $525

Study French in France
Learn how to sail a catamaran under the guidance of qualified instructors. The instructors are experienced and have taught students from different backgrounds and countries. They are certified by the French Sailing Federation. Sessions start with theory and are followed by sailing on the breathtaking Mediterranean. Sessions are taught in French.


Requirement: You are required to be able to swim at least 50 meters. A medical aptitude certificate issued by a competent authority in your home country confirming your ability to swim 50 meters must be provided before participating in this course.

For participants under 18 years old, a written letter of consent from your parents allowing you to participate in this sport is also required.


Underwater Diving
Duration: 2 weeks
Sessions: Total of 10, three hour sessions.
Time: 2:00 pm onwards from Monday to Friday (May to October)
Course Fee: USD $570

Learn underwater diving under the guidance of qualified instructors certified by the F.F.E.S.M. (Federation Francaise d'etudes et de Sports Sous-Marins). Each session begins with briefing and theory followed by diving. Participants are taken by boat to the diving area.

8 sessions: Devoted to teaching and practice following a rigorous progression. Last 2 sessions: Devoted to exploration. At the end of the course, participants are awarded the PADI 1st level.

Requirement: You are required to be able to swim at least 50 meters. A medical aptitude certificate issued by a competent authority in your home country confirming your ability to swim 50 meters must be provided before participating in this course.

For participants under 18 years old, a written letter of consent from your parents allowing you to participate in this sport is also required.



Remember to:
i) State clearly on the Application Form that you are applying for one or both of these courses.
ii) Add the course fee to your French language program fee.
iii) Bring the medical aptitude certificate with you to Nice.
iv) For those under 18 years old, bring your parental consent letter with you to Nice.
