Master French right in the heart of two or more of the following beautiful cities in France: Paris, France's historical and cultural capital; Nice, on the French Riviera, with its unique multicultural atmosphere; Bordeaux, the 5th largest city in France; Chambéry the historical capital of the Savoie region; and Annecy, the town of art and history in the French Alps. In each location, classes are taught in the leading Academy of French Language, which is centrally located with easy access to public transportation.
The French Language Combination Program is a unique program designed to immerse participants in French as they study in different locations: Paris, Nice, Bordeaux, Chambéry and Annecy. The program is ideal for those who wish to learn and master the language while travelling and experiencing the different lifestyle and customs in various regions of France.
Participants gain valuable information about modern-day French culture and society and improve overall communicative skills. The programs are designed to focus on all aspects of the language, developing reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, phonetics and vocabulary skills. This flexible Combination Program allows students to vary the duration and Language Immersion Program studied in each location. Participants may continue their studies as they move from one location to another.
For further immersion in the language and culture, guided excursions, tours and activities are provided at no additional cost. The Program is designed to provide participants with ample opportunity to learn and use the French language and be a part of a comprehensive learning experience. The overall aim of the Program is to instill the linguistic, practical, and cultural aspects of the language as well as the French way of life.

Each location offers a unique variety of French Language Immersion Programs that students may choose from. This allows flexibility as students may choose different programs, durations (minimum of 2 weeks), and intensities for each location.
- Small classes: average 8 to 10 students per class (maximum 14)

Transportation between locations is not provided. However, when travelling in France, we recommend that participants use the TGV train system. The TGV is the most commonly used train system and is a fast and easy way to travel. The official site provides timetables, reservations, fees and other information, and is also available in a number of different languages.

To provide comfortable housing and extensive immersion in the French lifestyle a range of accommodation options located close to the Academy are offered: Host Family, Residence, French Host, Studio, Apartment and Hotel. Accommodation options differ according to program location (see above). Students may select an accommodation preference for each different location.
In Paris, Nice and Bordeaux all accommodation options start from 12pm on the Sunday prior to the first day of their course until 12pm on the Saturday following the last day of their course. For example, a 4-week course starting on Monday, June 30 will have accommodation from Sunday, June 29 to 12 noon on Saturday, July 26.
In Annecy and Chambéry, the Host Family option and the Studio Residence option (Chambéry only) are available on a weekly basis starting from 12pm on the Sunday prior to the first day of their course until 12pm on the Saturday following the last day of their course. All other accommodation options are only available on a monthly basis starting from the 1st until the 30th or 31st of each month.
Additional nights, before the program starts or after the program ends, are subject to availability. For Host Family, a maximum of 3 additional nights are available. For 4 nights or more, the weekly rates will apply. For Shared Apartments extra accommodation is generally available on a monthly basis. For a Private Studio, extra accommodation is generally available on a weekly basis, and the Studio Residence (Chambéry) is available on a nightly basis. Total Program Fees include Tuition, Accommodation, Meals (where specified), Textbooks, Registration and Enrollment, Placement Test, Certificate and Transcript, Visa support documentation, Airport Pickup and Transfer to Accommodation, Orientation, Welcome Pack, Language Travel Medical Insurance, and more. Free French culture and civilization lectures, social activities, and guided tours are held. Free e-mail and internet access is provided. International Program Advisors provide information and assistance pre-departure and throughout the program.

Note: A minimum duration of 2 weeks per course in each location is required by participants the French Language Combination Program
Participants are required to contact the French Consulate in their home country regarding applicable visa regulations. If a visa is needed, WLE provides participants with the documents required by the French Consulate: A Letter of Admission (verifying that full program fees have been paid) and A Travel Medical Insurance Coverage Letter. These documents will be provided as soon as the total program fees are paid and enrolment is completed. EU citizens do not require a visa to enter France. US citizens do not require a visa for stays shorter than 90 days. For the semester or academic year programs, US citizens are required to apply for a visa.
Note: For those under 18, the French Consulate's visa processing time may take 4 to 6 weeks.
Our Immersion French Language Combination Program is offered to persons from all over the world from 16 (or 17 in Paris and Bordeaux) to 75 years of age. Exceptions: Paris Summer Camp for Teenagers (13 - 17 years old) and Nice French for Seniors (45 years and over).

For peace of mind, Total Program fees include Emergency Travel and Medical Insurance. StudentCare Insurance covers emergency medical and dental treatment, pro-rata return of program fee in case of curtailment, personal liability, and more. Participants are insured for the duration of the program.

Free pickup from the bus, train station or airport to your accommodation is provided in the Total Program (where specified*). An emergency number is provided in the Welcome Pack for any last minute arrival delays. Participants are met at the airport and transported to their accommodation.
